Eco practice

Like many of you I am deeply concerned by the rapid changes happening in the world around us – climate, species loss and the resulting impact on human society, are linked to our psychological and emotional state.

I am part of Climate Psychology Alliance, an international grouping of therapists and psychologists, who feel our practice has something important to offer going forward in helping people recognise and adapt to these changes. You ll find some more information about how I think this works on my blog.

In practice it means I am open to discussing these things as part of our work , and adapting what I do to use connections you may have or want to make to be part of the therapy. This might mean taking sessions outdoors, or involving pets or natural objects in the session, as well as discussing ideas such as ecoanxiety or solastalgia.
